Spreader

A spreader is a laboratory instrument that is used to evenly distribute a liquid, such as a bacterial culture, onto a solid medium, such as an agar plate. It consists of a straight metal or plastic rod with a flat, L-shaped end, which is used to spread the liquid evenly across the surface of the plate.
