Fish Gelatin 25g
Description
Fish Gelatin is obtained from the skin of cold water fish. It is a hydrophilic chemical used in immunohistochemistry, cell culture media, and light microscope autoradiography. Fish gelatin has a high molecular weight, and the extracellular glycoprotein acts as an antifreeze.
bioWORLD’s Microbiology Grade Fish Gelatin is extensively tested for chemical and bacterial contaminants. Solubility can be improved by slightly heating the aqueous solution, and waiting to add any salts until the gelatin is fully dissolved. It is not recommended to make any solutions with a weight per volume concentration higher than 5%.
Fish Gelatin is conveniently provided in a number of high quality blocking buffers for immunohistochemistry.
