Sabouraud Dextrose agar (SDA) is a selective and differential medium that is commonly used for the cultivation of fungi and yeasts. It was first introduced in 1892 by Raymond Sabouraud, a French microbiologist, and was later modified in 1919 by Henri Dextrose, another French microbiologist.
