SPL SEAL™
SPL SEAL ™ provides a highly effective seal, preventing evaporation and eliminating contamination and it intended for use in General Assays, Genomics, Compound and Library, Storage and Bio-Analytical Assays, High Throughput Screening and Drug Discovery applications.
SPL SEAL™ is a sealing film designed for use with multiwell plates in laboratory applications. It is made of a combination of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and acrylate, which gives it excellent optical clarity, chemical resistance, and sealability.
The PET/acrylate material is a thermoplastic elastomer that combines the strength and flexibility of PET with the chemical resistance and sealability of acrylate. This material is non-toxic and non-reactive, making it safe for use in laboratory applications.
SPL SEAL™ is designed to fit a variety of multiwell plates, including 96-well, 384-well, and 1536-well plates. It is available in sheets or rolls, and can be easily cut to size using scissors or a plate sealer.
The sealing film is optically clear, allowing for easy visualization of the samples in the wells. It also has a low autofluorescence, which minimizes background noise in fluorescence assays.
SPL SEAL™ has a strong adhesive that forms a tight seal around the edges of the wells, preventing evaporation and contamination of the samples. It is also pierceable, allowing for easy access to the samples with a pipette or other sampling device.
